Great Planes RealFlight G2 Buder Park Airport

Right click on the image to the left or Buder Park 2.10.airport. The file should have a ".airport" extension. It is a plain text file which can be opened in any text editor. When the dialog box pops up, select “Save Link Target As …” for Netscape, or “Save Target As …” for MS Internet Explorer And then follow the dialog box directions to save the file (“Buder Park 2.10.airport”) to the directory “C:\Programs \ RealFlight \ Airports” on your computer, (or a temporary directory on your computer).

That is all there is too it. Once the file Buder Park 2.10 is copied to the RealFlight \ Airports directory you are ready to select and run the Buder Park R/C field simulation under RealFlight. Enjoy!

Buder Park Airport Background

The Buder Park R/C field simulation is set up with each significant area simulated in a separate group to facilitate ease of maintenance.  The “Airport Editor” and “Tree Editor” features associated with each significant area can be found under the Group names shown in the “Item Visibility” list below.

If your computer simulation frame rate seems slow or jerky you may need to turn off some of the visible item Groups, (uncheck them).  If this does not improve the simulation then edit out some of the less important features from one or more of the visible Groups using the “Edit Buder Park 2.10” selection.  But remember, once you delete an item from a group using the Airport or Tree Editors it is permanent and can not be recovered with "Undo".  (Best to make a backup copy of Buder Park 2.10 first).

All functions of Buder Park 2.10 operate the same as any other RealFlight G2 flying field.  Only the predefined pilot positions are different.

Three predefined pilot positions are provided in Buder Park 2.10.  They are:

Pilot station pads – located along the main runway near the south west end. Shown as red and white striped squares (2 x 2 ft.). (Default location at start up)
Runway intersection the grass area on the south side (pit side) of the runway intersection.
West end of main runway – the south west approach end of the main runway.  Useful for aligning your aircraft when you set the takeoff position.
